2024 Baseball & Softball All Star Interest

We are making an effort to begin the All-Star registration process a little earlier this season to ensure that we appropriately gauge interest level and determine which age levels we will enter teams in the District 8 tournaments for both baseball and softball.

Registration is opening immediately with an end date of Friday May 10th.

Eligibility for selection:

Residency – player must be a Tolland resident or have a waiver from another town if they are not a Tolland resident.

Players must have appeared in a minimum of 8 regular season games.

Baseball – players who are in the Majors or AAA division.

Softball – players who are in the Majors or Minors division.

Age eligibility

Baseball – Key date for determination is August 31st (for example, players born after August 31, 2013 are eligible for the 10U All-Star level).

Softball – Key Date for determination is December 31st (for example, players born after December 31, 2012 are eligible for the 10U All-Star level).

Player availability

Players must be able to commit to attending all of the games and at least 90% of all scheduled practices (with the exception of illness, injury or family emergency).

Selection process

After the conclusion of the registration process, members of the TLL Board and the coaches from the respective eligible division levels for both baseball and softball will meet and players will be selected and notified.

Schedule

There may be occasional practices in May, without disrupting our regular season and playoffs.

Daily practices will begin in June.

District games will begin mid to late June and conclude late June or very early July.

In the event a team advances beyond district play, there is the possibility of continuation into the middle/later part of July.

All players selected will be charged $150. Players will receive a custom dri-fit jersey, fitted hat and dri-fit practice shirt with name/number. The fee helps cover some of the costs for umpires, registration with Little League International, District 8 costs, and uniforms. The rest of the cost of participation will be covered by TLL.
