NEW: Creation of SEYSBA Hitters Club

SEYSBA Parents,

With COVID-19 impacting many industries throughout the nation, some sports manufacturers have too much inventory.  This has created an opportunity for SEYSBA to purchase some equipment at rare and significant discounts.  As you are aware, there are no batting cages near South Euclid, so SEYSBA is looking to remedy this to everybody's benefit.

I am hoping we can use this opportunity to raise $2,000 to purchase a pitching machine and some corresponding materials.  SEYSBA is offering our 2020 registrants (and 2019 registrants that are not playing anywhere this summer) to join our SEYSBA Hitters Club.

We are asking for $50 fee to the first 40 applicants for the first year.  This is the price per individual.  If a company or business is willing to donate, we can provide our Non-Profit Tax ID to them for their benefits.

We will offer both hardball and softball in speeds from 20-60mph.  We can also simulate faster speeds by reducing the distance marginally.  Our goal is to hit at least once a month, potentially more.  I am still looking to secure locations for this winter but our intentions is to still go inside in inclement weather.  We will hit on our SEYSBA diamonds until weather is prohibitive.

Hitters Club members will be responsible for all their own helmets and bats.

The pitching machine will become property of SEYSBA and external usage will be determined by the Board Presidents.

Please contact Tom Denk at [email protected] immediately to secure a space in the Hitters Club.

I will make payment availble via cash, check (payavle to SEYSBA) or CashApp ($SEYSBA). We will manage and possibly cap the limit of applicants.  We may offer a scholarship for individuals that provide an able-bodied adult that is willing to become a member of our Hitters Club staff and be responsible for transportation, set-up and removal of our equipment.
