Save Polley Field

URGENT - SAVE POLLEY FIELD!

The City of Sebastopol Planning Commission is considering a plan to remove Polley Field from Ives Park, and we wanted to get the word out to our Sebastopol Little League community so you would have a chance to let your voices be heard before the City Council votes on this matter.

Polley Field is the crown jewel of Sebastopol Little League. It is where players culminate their little league experience as 12 year olds. Many of you played at Polley Field when you were younger, and many of you have kids who have dreamed of playing under the lights of Polley since they started playing Little League baseball. It is the only field in Sebastopol with lights, and is integral to the success of Sebastopol Little League.

There are two proposals the City Council is considering as part of their plan to restore Calder Creek and renovate Ives Park. You can read more about the plan here. You’ll notice Option B is recommended by the Planning Commission and wouldn’t remove Polley Field, but Option C, which is recommended and preferred by the Planning Commission, would.

We are asking you to please:

·        Email the City Council to let them know how important Sebastopol Little League and Polley Field are to your family, and to let them know you support Option B that keeps Polley Field in Ives Park.

·        Show your support at the virtual City Council meeting on February 1st. The Zoom link for that meeting is here.

·        Sign the petition!

Let’s let the City Council know how much Polley Field means to our community, so we can ensure that future generations can enjoy this field for years to come!
