Similar to MDT, all participants are scrambled with other players on other teams.
No score is kept and this will be a kid led game with coaches overseeing to ensure the safety of all participants.
Games will be held on Sunday May 26th.

2024 Spring

Welcome
Santa Teresa Little League is a community organization with a mission of helping kids build character through the game of baseball in San Jose, CA. Prior to completing registration, please review all information on this page.

Volunteer Organization
Santa Teresa Little League is a non-profit community organization that relies exclusively on unpaid volunteers to accomplish its mission of helping kids build character through the game of baseball. As such, parents are expected to contribute time and talent throughout the season to help the kids and ST community have a great baseball experience.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. We believe that it takes a community to put on a baseball season. Families who join the league are expected to volunteer to support Game Day Activities & League-wide events & Activities. For the Spring Season, each family must complete 11 Volunteer Points as part of our Volunteer Requirement. We also rely on volunteers to take on Team Roles, such as Manager & Team Parent. For those truly passionate about serving the baseball community, please consider a League Wide Role (Board Member & Coordinator positions). Please click on the links below to learn more about volunteering.

Game Day Roles: Families are Required to participate to support Team Responsibilities such as Field Set-up, Snack Shack & Umpire Assignments.

Team Roles: Manager, Assistant Coach, and Team Parent: These volunteers guide players through games & practices & keep the team running smoothly.

League-Wide Roles: See Descriptions of Board Member & Coordinator Roles. Watch a video about volunteering featuring some of our Board Members.

Volunteer Background Checks: All volunteers (that means at least one parent/guardian from each STLL Family) must complete a background check annually. Additionally, any volunteer who will be in direct contact with youth participants for 16+ hours a month or 32+ hours in a year must complete a one-time Fingerprint-based background check.

IMPORTANT: Selecting Volunteering Points Program or Volunteering Buyout Option
We have heard that there is some confusion around the registration process when choosing to accept the Volunteer Requirement or Buy-out the Volunteer Requirement.

In the registration process, after selecting the program(s) for your player and answering the questions about your player, you will be taken to the Volunteer Opportunities Page (you will see this once for each program you are registering for).

If you are choosing to accept the Volunteer Requirement choose the appropriate Volunteer Role ( a Team-Based Role - Manager, Assistant Coach, or Team Parent) or Select the Volunteer Requirement Program Participation (circled in Green above), you will need to complete the questions required to process the annual Volunteer Background check.

If you are choosing to Buy-out the Volunteer Requirement, do not select a Volunteer Role, instead press the Skip Button (circled in Red above). The Non-Volunteer Fee will be added to your cart.

League Registration Fees & Other Costs
Registration fees do not cover the entire cost for a player to participate in Little League Baseball. Our Snack Shack, Sponsors and Fundraising helps to keep the cost of registration down. Included with registration are things like uniforms, Field Use Fees & Team Equipment. Non-Uniform clothing, personal baseball equipment and some team related fees are not covered.
We offer Monthly Payment Plans for those who register early (plans must be completed by tryouts, more information in the registration process).

Season Dates
The dates below are meant to be a guideline to help families plan for the season. The League Calendar will be released closer to the start of the season

Registration Deadline (Pre-T to A): Late January/Early February, 2024

Player Eligibility & Document Verification
Before you register your player, please make sure that you live within our League Boundaries OR your player attends school within our League Boundaries.
Click Here to Check your Address (or school’s address) in the Little League League Finder
For the Spring 2024 Season, we will be holding a Mandatory In-Person Document & Eligibility Verification for all players (Dates TBD). At this time you will need to bring originals and a copy of the Verification Documents listed below.
The easiest way to Verify Eligibility is to have your player’s school complete the School Verification Form (This can be completed at your School or District Office). School forms are valid until your player graduates from their current school.
If you choose to do it the hard way, we will need 3 proofs of residency, one from each category shown here.  Documents must be dated February 1st, 2023 to February 1st, 2024.
We will also need to see an Original Birth Certificate for each player and will collect 2 copies of the Little League Medical Release form during the verification.
If you are moving, please let us know.
If your player is proving eligibility with a School Form and will be attending John Muir for Middle School, which is out of our boundaries, please let us know so we can complete a waiver at that time.

League Information, Rules & Regulations
As a non-profit, community-based organization, we are governed by a League Constitution. You can Read it here.
Our Baseball Bylaws cover on and off field policies & procedures. This includes policies on drafts, playing time, Manager & Coach Responsibilities and All-Star Selection. You can Review our Bylaws Here.
The STLL Codes of Conduct has been instituted to ensure that the behavior and conduct of all
participants in STLL activities are consistent with our mission. There is a separate code for Players, Coaches and Spectators. You can Review these Codes Here.
