IN-HOUSE BASEBALL PROGRAMS

Spring Baseball (April - June)

The AAA Spring In-House program is available for children living within the Avonworth School District ages 4 through 17 with a range of instructional and competitive levels. Games are played Monday through Saturday in the months April through June. Registration for the Spring in-house season runs from early January to early February.

Tee Ball 4/5                                       
 
4 & 5

The season starts in April and runs through late May. Teams will hold practices before games start with generally 12 games in the season. The number of games scheduled may vary from season to season based on the schedule and the number of teams formed. The schedule will vary week to week with on average one game on a weekday and a game on Saturday each week during the season. Weeknight games usually start at 6 or 7pm and last one hour.

Tee Ball 6 6

The tee ball season starts in April and runs through late May. Teams will hold practices before games start with generally 12 games in the season. The number of games scheduled may vary from season to season based on the schedule and the number of teams formed. The schedule will vary week to week with on average one or two games on weekdays and a game on Saturday each week during the season. Weeknight games usually start at 6:00 or 7:00pm and last one hour. Weekend games start at 9:00am and run through the day.

Instructional League 7 & 8

The instructional league season starts in April and runs through early June. Teams will hold practices before the game schedule begins with practices held during the season as field availability permits. The game schedule generally consists of 12 games but may vary from season to season based on the schedule and the number of teams formed. The game schedule will vary week to week. Weeknight games usually start at 6:00pm and last one to two hours. Saturday games start at 9:00am and run throughout the day.

  • Memorial Day Tournament: The instructional league participates in the annual Memorial Day Tournament. Memorial Day tournament games are held the week leading up to Memorial Day weekend with bracket play on Saturday and the championship game on Sunday.

Minor League 9 & 10The minor league season starts in April and runs through mid-June. Teams will hold practices before the game schedule begins and with practices held during the season as field availability permits. The game schedule generally consists of 12 games against Avonworth and Quaker Valley in-house teams but may vary from season to season based on the schedule and the number of teams formed. The game schedule will vary week to week. Weeknight games usually start at 6:00pm and last two hours. Saturday games start at 9:00am and run throughout the day.
  • Memorial Day Tournament:  Avonworth minor league teams participate in the annual Memorial Day Tournament. Memorial Day tournament games are held the week leading up to Memorial Day weekend with bracket play on Saturday and the championship game on Sunday.
  • Playoffs: Minor league playoffs are held in mid-June. Teams are seeded based on regular season results and play against Avonworth and Quaker Valley teams to determine the minor league champion.

Pony League13 & 14The Pony league season starts in April and runs through June. Avonworth Pony teams typically participate in the Moon Pony League and play against other teams in the area.Home games are held on the Patrick B. Kenny field on Route 65.
Colt League15,16,17 The Colt league season typically starts in June and runs through early August.Home games are held on the Avonworth High School baseball field.


Fall Baseball (August - October)

The AAA Fall In-House baseball program is available for children living within the Avonworth School District ages 5 through 17 with a range of instructional and competitive levels. Games are played Monday through Saturday against other Avonworth and Quaker Valley in-house teams from late August to mid-October. Registration for the Fall in-house season runs from late June to mid-August.

The little league season will start in September and run through October. Teams will hold practices before the game schedule begins and during the season as field availability permits. The game schedule generally consists of 12 games against Avonworth and Quaker Valley in-house teams. The game schedule will vary week to week. Weeknight games usually start at 6:00pm and last two hours. Saturday games start at 9:00am and run throughout the day.

Colt League15,16,17The ability to hold a fall Colt league season typically depends on the number of players interested in participating.Home games are held on the Avonworth High School baseball field.




TRAVEL BASEBALL PROGRAMS

Spring Sunday Travel League

  • The Spring Sunday Travel League provides a travel baseball opportunity competitive level of baseball for players to improve their skills while facing comparable and competitive teams. The Spring Sunday League runs concurrently with the regular Spring In-House season with travel games played on Sundays to not conflict with the in-house schedule.
  • Sunday League teams range in age from 8U thru 12U. Depending on the number of registrants, multiple teams may be fielded for each age group. Please note that anyone who plays in the Sunday League must also play in the Spring In-House season.
  • Registration for the Spring Sunday League runs from mid to late October.
  • Team selection occurs in early November with players notified by mid to late November.


Summer Tournament Travel Baseball

  • Summer tournament baseball provides a competitive, travel baseball opportunity with teams ranging in age from 7U thru 12U. The summer tournament season typically runs from late June through July depending on the tournament schedule established for each team.
  • Registration to express interest in participation on a summer tournament team is held in early May.
  • To be considered, players must appear in at least 60% of their in-house team’s games.
  • Team selection occurs in late May with players notified around the same time.
  • There may be multiple travel teams selected for the 7U through 12U age groups pending the number of interested players at each age level.
